The article "Southern Company Enterprise GIS" was published in the Spring 2006 issue of ESRI Energy Currents. Authored by David S. Breland of Southern Company and Mehrdod Mohseni of Enspiria Solutions, the article discusses Southern's enterprise approach to GIS for Alabama Power, Mississippi Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power, and Savannah Electric. Southern Company's E-GIS solution consists of an ArcGIS platform based on ArcSDE with ArcObjects plus the Miner & Miner ArcFM toolset.

The Public Utilities Fortnightly (May 2006) article "Field-Force Management: What's New for the Mobile Workforce"by Enspiria's Greg Kneuer provides insight into how utilities can maximize the benefits of MWM by taking advantage of advancements in real-time location tracking and fully extending and connecting mobility applications within the enterprise.
