PECO Contracts with Enspiria Solutions to Evaluate Smart Meter Technologies
Denver, CO (ENSPIRIA.COM) June 22, 2009 - Enspiria Solutions, a leading provider of consulting and systems integration to the utility, cable and government sectors, announced today that it has been selected by PECO to support the utility in looking at smart meter technologies.
For a decade, PECO has been at the forefront of Automated Meter Reading (AMR) technology. In 2004, PECO completed the largest installation of an advanced metering system in the country. With more than two million meters, this automated metering system led to improved service and new products.
Currently, PECO is evaluating existing, proven technologies and also looking at new smart meter technologies as a way of delivering valuable solutions to customers. As part of that process, PECO plans to file its Smart Meter Technology plan with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission in August 2009.
